Vacations-Hawaii. It's a name you've heard, a firm you've done business with, and people you recognize. Still, some wonder, who – or what – is Vacations-Hawaii?

We've evolved through the years, from a modest shop on Beachwalk Avenue in Waikiki, to the neighbors you've grown to trust. It was there, where we opened our doors as a full-service retail and wholesale travel agency and the start of our very first tour packages, offered then under the name of Lea Lea Tours.

Through the years, as our offices grew, so did our services. Automation opened the door to worldwide travel through Vacations-Hawaii. The years since then brought requests for more services and we have responded.

The beginning of the new decade recorded the start of our friendship with Hawaiian Airlines. Soon, another important change occurred. In 1995, while Vacations-Hawaii celebrated its 43rd year of offering services to families throughout the Islands, we joined forces with another family: the Boyd Gaming Corporation.

That firm too, has grown steadily through the years, beginning in 1962 when the father and son team of Sam and Bill Boyd purchased a small hotel-casino in Henderson, Nevada.

Over the years, their family operation grew, as did ours.

Within six months of our affiliation with the Boyds, we began offering twice-weekly, discounted non-stop charter service operated by Hawaiian Air to Las Vegas, with exclusive packages at Main Street Station, the Fremont Hotel and Casino, California Hotel and Casino, The Orleans Hotel and Casino, and Sam's Town Hotel-Casino.

Then, in 1996 we increased the number of non-stop offerings operated by Hawaiian Air to six each week. We have since changed our charter air carrier to Omni Air International. And, in addition to our charter service offerings, we continue to offer discounted travel packages to dozens of U.S. cities on American Airlines.

As we've grown through the years, you've probably noticed some changes at Vacations-Hawaii. But, one thing has remained unchanged – our service to you.

We've been in business for more than 45 years, offering economical, reputable service, and with Boyd Gaming now behind us, we'll be here for you for many, many more years to come.
